Acts and Regulations
The Corrections and Conditional Release Act and Regulations (CCRA/CCCR) is the prescriptive legislative framework which guides PBC policies, operations, training and parole decision making. The CCRA provides the legal framework for the correctional and parole system in Canada.
The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) is also guided in its mandate by the Criminal Code, the Criminal Records Act, the Letters Patent, and the Privacy and Access to Information Acts.
